1. Parties and Scope

These Terms of Use govern the relationship between HBY Software and all visitors, customers and users of the onionzero.com website, the my.onionzero.com management panel and OnionZero products. By using the site you accept these terms.

2. Definitions

  • Software: all OnionZero components — the PHP encryption tools, the native ozguard extension, and the licensing and update components.
  • Licence File: a digitally signed licence file (.ozlic) generated for a specific customer and machine scope.
  • Customer: the natural or legal person purchasing a licence for the Software.

3. Description of the Service

OnionZero is a software protection system that encrypts the source code of PHP applications, decrypts it at runtime via the native ozguard extension, verifies digitally signed licence files offline, and optionally offers an online licence server, automated update distribution and anti-debug/anti-tamper protections. This website provides product information, documentation and contact services.

4. Software Licence — General Framework

  • What is transferred is a right of use (licence), not a sale of the Software; the scope is limited to the number of machines and products determined at order/quotation stage.
  • Licences are digitally signed by HBY Software and bound to specific machines; licence files may not be shared with, sold to or transferred to third parties.
  • Copying the Software, reverse-engineering it, defeating its protection mechanisms or redistributing it without authorisation is prohibited.
  • Updates and technical support are provided within the term and scope of the licence.
  • Purchases are subject to the licence agreement and invoicing terms presented at the time of order; in case of conflict with these terms, the licence agreement prevails.

5. User Obligations

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information in contact and purchase processes,
  • Keep licence keys and panel credentials confidential,
  • Use the Software in compliance with applicable law and within the licence scope,
  • Refrain from conduct that damages the site infrastructure, attempts unauthorised access or disrupts the service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos and software on this website and the OnionZero trademark are owned by HBY Software or used under licence. They may not be reproduced, distributed or used to create derivative works without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Informational content on this website is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, HBY Software cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the site or the documentation. Warranty and liability provisions for the Software are set out in the applicable licence agreement. Backing up encrypted software deployed to production environments is the customer’s responsibility.

The site may contain links to third-party websites; HBY Software is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

9. Changes to These Terms

HBY Software may update these terms when necessary. The current version is published on this page; continuing to use the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
